Dear GYA, We just announced this year's lineup for the Gathering of the Juggalos and you know it's gonna be crazy tight! Check it, we got my homey Neil deGrasse Tyson's rappin' alter ego Asstronomo, economics ninja Paul Krugman is gonna talk about inflation while wrestling a bag of cats and the most wig-flippin' hardcore dude on the block, Noam Chomsky, is gonna recite a lecture on clowns and society.--- Daaamn! Anyways, the festival isn't till August so anything good goin' down tonight suitable for the Juggalo Nation?- Violent J, ICP

Violent J, I've always said the best way to educate our nation's youth is through the magic of edu-tainment. Good work. Here's a few things that the sophisticated Juggalo might enjoy:

Americana singer and songwriter Josh Ritter will be performing at Red Butte Garden this evening. Playing with his band, The Royal City Band, Ritter is known for his strength in storytelling, which is evident in tracks from his 2012 album So Runs the World Away. Joe Purdy will be opening. The shows starts at 7:30 p.m.

At Deer Valley, check out the Hops on the Hill Beer and Concert Series. Each week will feature beer sampling by Utah's finest award-winning craft breweries and a free concert on the lawn. This week's installment will feature Wasatch Brewery and the Motherland Canyon Band. The samplin' starts at 4:30 p.m.

Seattle-based rappers Common Market will be performing at In The Venue/Club Sound. As members of the often-underrated Northwest-rap corridor, this duo falls under the sub-genre of "spiritual/conscious rap" partly because of their heavy involvement with the Bahai faith, in which the two met. Some of you rap heads may know the producer, Sabzi, from his involvement with the celebrated crew The Blue Scholars. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Other worthwhile events happening tonight:

- For some stand-up action, check out Comedy Roadkill at the Complex, beginning at 8 p.m.

- The Genderland Festival will be happening at the Utah Pride Center, starting at 3 p.m.

- At the Usana Amphitheater, the Happy Together Tour will be kicking off at 8 p.m.
