Get your week off to a worthy start with one of our suggestions gleaned from City Weekly's exhaustive event listings.---

You can almost hear what the band Arborea (pictured) sounds like just by mulling over the name. The Maine husband-and-wife duo deals in "Old World mystical folk," and their 2011 album Red Planet is slathered in strings, banjos and guitar. They play in Provo at Velour at 8 p.m.

At In The Venue, it's a big fat rock 'n' roll show with Bring Me the Horizon and three opening acts, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The King's English is hosting a reading/signing with author Marianne Richmond, whose new book of illustrations is called I Believe In You. It's a tome both parents and kids will appreciate; the event is at 3 p.m.
