Barberi Obituary

Maybe as we get older it is a natural thing to pay more attention to those who die.---
This past week I attended memorial services for two people who I knew very well. George C. Hatch who created KALL Radio and KUTV Channel 2 as well as the Ogden Standard Examiner and many other communication properties. I worked for George for 25 years and have him to thank for my career in radio and bringing me to Utah. George was 86 and his health was failing so his passing was not really a shock none the less sad.
The other person who died was younger than me and she was the wife of one of my best friends. The sadness of Susans's passing is hard to comprehend as she developed Alzheimers while in her 40's and died at 61. Horrible disease that robs one of themselves and oh so slowly closes their window on the world.
The obituary's for these individules were heart felt and loving in their discribing their lives and how they lived them and who their families were who are left behind.
Feeling ever so more mortal on a daily basis, I thought that I should write my own obit.....
He came, made some people laugh and left..........
